Impact Gloves: What Industrial Buyers Should Look For

Impact gloves combine hand coverage with features intended for jobs where the back of the hand can be exposed to bumps, pinch points and impact hazards.

Impact protection

Look at where protective elements cover the fingers, knuckles and back of the hand and whether that coverage still allows workers to flex and grip naturally.

Cut protection

Impact protection and cut resistance address different hazards. For applications with sharp edges, compare the glove's stated ANSI cut rating in addition to its impact features.

Grip and palm construction

Consider the surfaces being handled and exposure to oils or moisture. Palm coating and texture can affect both grip and durability.

Dexterity and fit

Bulky protection can reduce fingertip control. Compare glove construction and sizing with the actual tasks workers perform.
